In the Greenhouse

"The gardening season officially begins on January 1st and ends on December 31st."

- Marie Huston

Mums the word!  Color for fall is abounding in our greenhouse!  We have some beautiful combination half bushel baskets of mums and grasses, kale and late blooming daisies and cascading ivy!  The greenhouse is being prepped for our Fall festival, which is right around the corner.   Bob brought us some wonderful mini bales of straw to assist in your creative fall decorating.  Also, to inspire you further, our staff has diligently produced a tasty selection of cool weather veggies.  The selection includes broccoli, cabbage and HUGE flowering kale (that are great for garnishing or eating cooked or in salads!).

Our staff here at Ferda's is working hard to keep the place full of color.  Come on in and ask Gloria what she has blooming in her yard, ask Melanie what the latest culinary treasure is that she has put up for winter, Lynn expands her horizons on the culinary front with great gusto (and does a wonderful job!) as well as working in her expanse of perennial beds which, you may visit when you come to the garden center.  Bobby is excited about the new perennials that he has put in this year at his house and will light up when you ask him for some advice on division or selection of plants for your own space!
